Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl.
- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Add desiccated coconut and chopped walnuts, and mix until combined.
- Shape the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking tray.
- Flatten each ball slightly with a fork.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until set.
- Let cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be topped with chocolate icing if desired.
