Description

Tender beef cheeks slow-cooked in rich jus.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef cheeks
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Season beef cheeks with salt and pepper, then sear in the pot until browned.
  3. Remove beef and set aside.
  4. Add onion, carrots, and garlic to the pot and sauté until softened.
  5. Pour in red wine and scrape the bottom of the pot.
  6. Add beef broth and return beef cheeks to the pot.
  7. Cover and simmer on low for 3-4 hours until tender.
  8. Serve with the jus poured over the beef.
