Tender beef cheeks slow-cooked in rich jus.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs beef cheeks
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup red wine
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Season beef cheeks with salt and pepper, then sear in the pot until browned.
- Remove beef and set aside.
- Add onion, carrots, and garlic to the pot and sauté until softened.
- Pour in red wine and scrape the bottom of the pot.
- Add beef broth and return beef cheeks to the pot.
- Cover and simmer on low for 3-4 hours until tender.
- Serve with the jus poured over the beef.
Notes
- Use a good quality red wine for better flavor.
- Let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or crusty bread.
