Description

Delicious mini beef wellingtons perfect for appetizers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef tenderloin, trimmed
  • 1 lb puff pastry
  • 8 oz mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Sear the beef tenderloin in a hot pan for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  3. Remove the beef and let it cool.
  4. In the same pan, sauté the mushrooms until moisture evaporates.
  5. Spread Dijon mustard on the cooled beef.
  6. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into squares.
  7. Place a spoonful of mushrooms on each pastry square.
  8. Add a piece of beef on top of the mushrooms.
  9. Fold pastry over the beef and seal edges.
  10. Brush with beaten egg.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
