Description

A Bombay Sandwich is a popular street food made with spiced potatoes, fresh cucumbers, and tangy chutney, layered between slices of bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 medium potato, boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons green chutney
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. On the unbuttered side, spread green chutney.
  3. Add the mashed potato on one slice and season with salt.
  4. Layer cucumber slices on top of the potato.
  5. Cover with the other slice of bread, chutney side down.
  6. Heat a pan and toast the sandwich on both sides until golden brown.
  7. Slice and serve hot.
