A savory pastry filled with spiced chicken, wrapped like cigars for easy snacking.
Ingredients

- 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup almonds, chopped
- 8 sheets of phyllo dough
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook chicken thighs in a pot with onions and garlic until done.
- Add spices, parsley, and almonds. Mix well and let cool.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough and brush with melted butter.
- Place a spoonful of chicken mixture at one end and roll tightly.
- Brush the rolled cigars with more melted butter.
- Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve with a side of yogurt or sauce for dipping.
- You can substitute chicken with vegetables for a vegetarian version.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
