A rich and sweet braided bread filled with chocolate and hazelnuts.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk, warmed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
- 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 1 egg for egg wash
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add melted butter, sugar, and eggs to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
- In another bowl, mix flour and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients.
- Knead the dough until smooth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread chocolate hazelnut spread on top.
- Sprinkle chopped hazelnuts over the spread.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut it in half lengthwise.
- Braid the two halves and place in a loaf pan.
- Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush the loaf with egg wash.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Ensure the milk is warm, not hot.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
