Ingredients

  • 6 ounces dark chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease ramekins with butter.
  3. Melt chocolate and butter together in a double boiler.
  4. In a bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla until pale.
  5. Fold melted chocolate into the egg mixture.
  6. In another bowl, beat egg whites and salt until stiff peaks form.
  7. Carefully fold egg whites into the chocolate mixture.
  8. Pour the mixture into the prepared ramekins.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until puffed.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
