Ingredients

- 1 cup stout beer
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup brewed coffee
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix stout beer and cocoa powder until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together sugars and oil.
- Add eggs and vanilla to the sugar mixture, then combine with stout mixture.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with brewed coffee.
- Pour batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
- Can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
