Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 cup brewed coffee

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix stout beer and cocoa powder until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together sugars and oil.
  5. Add eggs and vanilla to the sugar mixture, then combine with stout mixture.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  7. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with brewed coffee.
  8. Pour batter into the prepared cake pan.
