Description
A rich and moist chocolate cake with tahini, inspired by halva.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup tahini
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk tahini and sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla to the tahini mixture, mix well.
- Combine dry and wet ingredients, then add milk and boiling water.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be served with chocolate ganache or tahini drizzle.
