Description

A rich and creamy chocolate truffle tart with a buttery crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups of chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 8 ounces of dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a tart pan.
  4. Bake the crust for 10 minutes and let it cool.
  5. Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until it simmers.
  6. Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  7. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, then stir until smooth.
  8. Pour the chocolate mixture into the cooled crust.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  10. Slice and serve cold.
