A rich and creamy chocolate truffle tart with a buttery crust.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups of chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 8 ounces of dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter in a bowl.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a tart pan.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes and let it cool.
- Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until it simmers.
- Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, then stir until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into the cooled crust.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
- Slice and serve cold.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Serve with whipped cream or berries for garnish.
