This Classic Chocolate Pie features a rich chocolate filling in a flaky crust.

- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 3/4 cups milk
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, mix sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt.
- Add milk gradually, whisking until smooth.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter.
- Pour the filling into the pie crust.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Let it cool completely before serving.
Notes
- Chill the pie for better texture.
- Top with whipped cream if desired.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
