- 1 pound sirloin steak cut into cubes
- 1 package cheese tortellini
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped chives
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini in boiling water.
- Drain the pasta and set it aside.
- Season your steak cubes with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
- Sear the steak bites until they reach your desired doneness.
- Remove the steak from the pan.
- Melt butter in the same pan.
- Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Whisk in lemon juice, mustard, red pepper flakes, and herbs.
- Return the steak and tortellini to the skillet.
- Toss everything to coat in the butter sauce.
Notes
- Use a cast iron skillet for the best sear.
- Do not overcook the steak to keep it tender.
- Fresh herbs provide better flavor than dried ones.
