Description
A delicious appetizer featuring crispy rice topped with spicy tuna.
Ingredients

- 2 cups sushi rice
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 lb sushi-grade tuna, diced
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
- Once cooked, transfer rice to a bowl and mix in the vinegar mixture. Let it cool.
- Form rice into small squares or rectangles.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the rice pieces until crispy on both sides.
- In another bowl, combine tuna, mayonnaise, sriracha, and green onions.
- Top each crispy rice piece with a spoonful of the spicy tuna mixture.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Use fresh sushi-grade tuna for best results.
- Adjust sriracha to your spice preference.
- Keep the fried rice pieces warm in the oven until serving.
