Description

A delicious cheesecake combining the flavors of dates and walnuts in a traditional maamoul style.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Mix crushed graham crackers and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  5. Add vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well.
  6. Fold in chopped dates and walnuts.
  7. Pour the filling over the crust.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until set.
  9. Let it cool before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
  10. Serve chilled.
