Description

These squares feature tender roast beef and melted cheese inside soft rolls with savory dipping sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pack Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 pound deli roast beef
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 packet au jus mix
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Slice the entire pack of rolls in half horizontally.
  3. Place the bottom half in a baking dish.
  4. Layer the roast beef over the rolls.
  5. Place cheese slices on top of the beef.
  6. Cover with the top half of the rolls.
  7. Mix melted butter with garlic powder.
  8. Brush the butter mixture over the rolls.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes until the cheese melts.
  10. Boil water and au jus mix in a small pot.
  11. Serve the squares with the au jus for dipping.

Notes

  • Use thin roast beef for better texture.
  • Substitute provolone with Swiss cheese if you prefer.
