A rich and decadent flourless chocolate cake that is simple to make.
Ingredients

- 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- Melt the chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in sugar until combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla and salt.
- Sift in cocoa powder and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until the top is set.
- Let the cake cool before removing from the pan.
Notes
- Serve with whipped cream or berries if desired.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- This cake can be made a day in advance.
