Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly and leave them whole.
- In a large oven-safe pot, add the clarified tallow.
- Place the potatoes in the pot and season with salt.
- Cover the pot and place it in the oven.
- Cook for 2 to 3 hours until the potatoes are tender.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use small, uniform potatoes for even cooking.
- Clarified tallow can be made by melting regular tallow and removing the solids.
- Store any leftovers in the tallow for preservation.
