Ingredients

  • 500g prawns, cleaned
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add tomatoes and cook until soft.
  5. Stir in turmeric, red chili, and coriander powder. Cook for 1 minute.
  6. Add prawns and mix well. Cook until they turn pink.
  7. Pour in coconut milk and simmer for 5 minutes.
  8. Add salt to taste.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander.
  10. Serve hot with rice or bread.
