Ingredients

- 500g minced mutton
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 cup peas
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a pan, cook the onions and garlic until soft.
- Add the minced mutton and cook until browned.
- Stir in the carrots, peas, tomato paste, broth, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Simmer for 15 minutes until thickened.
- Meanwhile, boil the potatoes until tender, then mash with milk and butter.
- Spread the mutton mixture in a baking dish.
- Top with mashed potatoes and smooth the surface.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Use fresh herbs for added flavor.
- Substitute mutton with beef or chicken if preferred.
- Garnish with parsley before serving.
