Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Fresh raspberries for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a heart-shaped cake pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and cocoa powder.
  4. Add butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool completely.
  8. Slice the cake in half horizontally.
  9. Spread raspberry jam on the bottom layer.
  10. Place the top layer back on and cover the entire cake with whipped cream.
  11. Decorate with fresh raspberries.
