Delicious heart-shaped cookies with a thumbprint filled with jam.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup fruit jam
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream butter and sugar together.
- Add egg yolk and vanilla extract, mix well.
- Gradually stir in flour and salt until dough forms.
- Shape dough into small hearts and place on a baking sheet.
- Make a thumbprint in the center of each cookie.
- Fill the thumbprint with fruit jam.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Use any fruit jam you like.
- Store in an airtight container.
- Chill dough for easier handling.
