Description
Hibiscus Bissap is a refreshing Senegalese drink made from dried hibiscus flowers.
Ingredients

- 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers
- 8 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
- Juice of 2 lemons
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot.
- Add dried hibiscus flowers and mint leaves.
- Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Strain the mixture into a pitcher.
- Add sugar and lemon juice. Stir well.
- Chill in the refrigerator before serving.
- Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves.
Notes
- Adjust sugar to taste.
- Can be served hot or cold.
- Optional: Add a splash of orange juice for extra flavor.
