Description

Kimchi Jjigae with Tuna is a flavorful Korean stew made with fermented kimchi and tender pieces of tuna. This dish is hearty and perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups kimchi
  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Tofu, cubed (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a pot, combine kimchi, onion, and water.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Add gochugaru and soy sauce, stirring well.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Add tuna and tofu, cooking for another 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in green onions and sesame oil before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust spice level by adding more or less gochugaru.
  • Serve with rice for a complete meal.
