Description
Kofte are traditional Turkish meatballs made with ground meat and spices, served with rice.
Ingredients

- 500g ground beef
- 1 onion, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups rice
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well and form into small balls.
- In a pan, heat oil over medium heat and cook the meatballs until browned on all sides.
- In another pot, bring water to a boil and add rice.
- Cover and simmer until rice is cooked, about 15-20 minutes.
- Serve meatballs over rice.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped parsley to the meat mixture.
- Serve with yogurt or a salad on the side.
