Description

This meatloaf uses gochujang and soy sauce for a bold taste. You get a sweet glaze on a savory beef base. It is a simple twist on a classic meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup gochujang
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 1/2 cup green onions
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Mix the beef and breadcrumbs in a bowl.
  3. Add eggs, milk, gochujang, and soy sauce.
  4. Stir in sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and green onions.
  5. Form the mixture into a loaf on a baking sheet.
  6. Mix brown sugar, ketchup, and extra gochujang for the glaze.
  7. Spread half of the glaze on the loaf.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Apply the remaining glaze.
  10. Bake for 15 more minutes.
  11. Rest the meat for 10 minutes before you slice it.

Notes

  • Use lean beef for less grease.
  • Add more gochujang for extra spice.
  • Serve with rice and vegetables.
