Description

A delicious Korean dish featuring marinated beef served over rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/2 cup sliced carrots
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
  2. Add beef to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add marinated beef to the pan and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add carrots and bell peppers to the pan and stir-fry for another 3 minutes.
  6. Serve beef mixture over cooked rice and garnish with green onions.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
  • Serve with kimchi for an authentic experience.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
