Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup kunafa, crushed
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla, mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, ginger, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Fold in the crushed kunafa.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Adjust ginger quantity to taste.
- Can substitute butter with coconut oil for a dairy-free option.
