Description

Delicious and charming heart-shaped cookies filled with strawberry jam.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, almond flour, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients until combined.
  6. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
  7. Roll out the dough and cut into heart shapes.
  8. Place half of the cookies on a baking sheet.
  9. Add a spoonful of strawberry jam to the center of each cookie.
  10. Top with the remaining cookies and press gently.
  11. Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden.
  12. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • Use a different jam for variation.
  • Dust with powdered sugar for presentation.
