  • 24 tablespoons milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  5. Stir in vanilla.
  6. Gradually add the flour mixture, alternating with milk.
  7. Pour batter into prepared cake pans.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to racks.
  10. For frosting, beat butter and powdered sugar together, adding milk until smooth.
  11. Frost the cooled cakes as desired.
