Description
Moroccan Trid is a traditional dish made with layers of thin bread, meat, and spices.
Ingredients

- 2 pieces of Moroccan flatbread
- 1 lb chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp saffron threads
- 2 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- In a pot, heat oil and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
- Add chicken pieces and brown on all sides.
- Mix in spices and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes until chicken is cooked.
- While chicken cooks, prepare the flatbread by warming it.
- Layer the flatbread with chicken and sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
Notes
- Trid can also be made with lamb.
- Adjust spices to your taste.
- Serve with a side of salad.
