Description

Moroccan Trid is a shredded pastry filled with lentils and chicken. It is a traditional dish that is flavorful and filling.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups of shredded pastry dough
  • 1 cup of cooked lentils
  • 1 pound of chicken, cooked and shredded
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until soft.
  3. Add cooked lentils and shredded chicken to the pan.
  4. Stir in cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Layer shredded pastry dough in a baking dish.
  8. Add the lentil and chicken mixture on top.
  9. Cover with another layer of pastry dough.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Serve hot with a side salad.
  • You can use store-bought pastry dough for convenience.
