Description
Moroccan Trid is a shredded pastry filled with lentils and chicken. It is a traditional dish that is flavorful and filling.
Ingredients

- 2 cups of shredded pastry dough
- 1 cup of cooked lentils
- 1 pound of chicken, cooked and shredded
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon of ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until soft.
- Add cooked lentils and shredded chicken to the pan.
- Stir in cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Layer shredded pastry dough in a baking dish.
- Add the lentil and chicken mixture on top.
- Cover with another layer of pastry dough.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve hot with a side salad.
- You can use store-bought pastry dough for convenience.
