Description
Omurice is a Japanese dish consisting of fried rice wrapped in an omelette and topped with a rich demiglace sauce.
Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1/2 cup cooked chicken, diced
- 1/4 cup onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup green peas
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup demiglace sauce
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Sauté onions until translucent.
- Add cooked chicken and green peas; stir well.
- Add rice, ketchup, soy sauce, salt, and pepper; mix thoroughly.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
- In another pan, heat a little oil and pour in the beaten eggs to make an omelette.
- Once the omelette is cooked, place the fried rice in the center and fold the omelette over the rice.
- Transfer to a plate and top with demiglace sauce.
Notes
- Use leftover rice for better texture.
- Adjust seasoning to your taste.
- Feel free to add vegetables.
