Description

Palestinian Musakhan is a traditional dish featuring sumac chicken served on taboon bread.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons sumac
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 4 pieces of taboon bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté the onions until soft.
  3. Add the chicken thighs, sumac, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook for 5 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Place the chicken and onions on a baking tray and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Warm the taboon bread in the oven for the last 5 minutes of baking.
  7. Serve the chicken and onions on the taboon bread.
