Description

A traditional Persian dish made with marinated chicken and saffron.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs, boneless
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 large onion, grated
  • 1/4 tsp saffron threads
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, olive oil, onion, saffron, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Add chicken and coat well. Marinate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Skewer chicken pieces onto skewers.
  5. Grill for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through.
  6. Serve with rice or flatbread.
