Description

Roast a whole chicken with an orange glaze in your oven.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (4 lbs)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Mix orange juice, zest, garlic, soy sauce, honey, and ginger in a bowl.
  3. Place chicken in a roasting pan.
  4. Pour sauce over your chicken.
  5. Bake for 75 minutes.
  6. Baste chicken every 20 minutes.
  7. Remove chicken when internal temperature hits 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  8. Rest chicken for 10 minutes before you carve it.

  • Pat chicken skin dry before you add sauce.
