Description
Spinach Fatayer are delicious triangular pastries filled with spinach and spices.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp sumac
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 1 package of ready-made pastry dough
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add onions and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in spinach and cook until wilted.
- Add salt, pepper, sumac, and pine nuts; mix well.
- Roll out the pastry dough and cut into circles.
- Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough to form a triangle and seal the edges.
- Place on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
- Can be frozen before baking.
- Adjust spices to your preference.
