A rich and indulgent dessert made with chocolate and a sticky toffee sauce.
Ingredients

- 200g dark chocolate
- 150g unsalted butter
- 150g brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 150g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 200g dates, chopped
- 300ml boiling water
- 200g toffee sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease a baking dish.
- Soak the chopped dates in boiling water for 10 minutes.
- Melt chocolate and butter together.
- In a bowl, whisk brown sugar and eggs.
- Add melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture.
- Fold in flour and baking powder.
- Add soaked dates and their water.
- Pour into the baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Serve warm with toffee sauce.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the fridge.
- Reheat before serving.
- Pair with vanilla ice cream.
