- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract.
- Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface.
- Cut pastry into heart shapes.
- Place strawberry mixture in the center of each heart.
- Fold edges over and seal with a fork.
- Brush tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
