Description
Delicious sugar cookie bars topped with pink frosting.
Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- Pink food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
- Add the egg and vanilla, mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Spread the dough into a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
- Let cool completely.
- In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract for frosting.
- Add pink food coloring until desired shade.
- Spread frosting over cooled bars.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- These bars can be decorated with sprinkles.
