Description
Tandoori Turkey Roast is a flavorful twist on a traditional roast turkey, marinated in a blend of spices.
Ingredients

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 pounds)
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons tandoori spice mix
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, tandoori spice, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, olive oil, and salt.
- Rub the marinade all over the turkey, including under the skin.
- Let the turkey marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast for 2.5 to 3 hours, removing the foil for the last 30 minutes to brown the skin.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest for 20 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Serve with naan or rice.
- Adjust spice levels to taste.
- Leftovers can be used in salads or sandwiches.
