Description

Tassot Cabrit is a traditional Haitian dish made with fried goat meat, seasoned with spices for a rich flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs goat meat, cut into pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 2 cups water
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine goat meat with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and lime juice.
  2. Let the mixture marinate for at least 1 hour.
  3. In a pot, add the marinated goat and water. Cook until tender, about 45 minutes.
  4. Remove the goat from the pot and let it cool.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the goat pieces until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Drain on paper towels before serving.
