Description
Tassot Cabrit is a traditional Haitian dish made with fried goat meat, seasoned with spices for a rich flavor.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs goat meat, cut into pieces
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 limes, juiced
- 2 cups water
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine goat meat with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and lime juice.
- Let the mixture marinate for at least 1 hour.
- In a pot, add the marinated goat and water. Cook until tender, about 45 minutes.
- Remove the goat from the pot and let it cool.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the goat pieces until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve with rice and beans for a complete meal.
- Use fresh goat meat for best results.
