Ingredients
- Brisket – 5 lbs
- Salt – 2 tbsp
- Black Pepper – 2 tbsp
- Garlic Powder – 1 tbsp
- Onion Powder – 1 tbsp
- Smoked Paprika – 1 tbsp
- Olive Oil – 2 tbsp
Instructions
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F.
- Trim the brisket of excess fat.
- Rub the brisket with olive oil.
- Mix spices and apply the rub evenly on the brisket.
- Place the brisket in the smoker.
- Smoke for about 1.5 hours per pound.
- Wrap the brisket in butcher paper halfway through cooking.
- Check internal temperature, aiming for 195°F.
- Rest the brisket for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

- Let the brisket rest to retain juices.
