Description
Za’atar Manakish is a traditional Levantine flatbread topped with a flavorful mix of herbs and spices.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons za’atar spice mix
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and sugar.
- In another bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.
- Add olive oil to the yeast mixture.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients to form a dough.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Divide the dough into balls and roll out into circles.
- Spread za’atar mix on each circle.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm with yogurt or salad.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- You can add cheese for extra flavor.
